Ludwig Supralite Steel Snare Drum – 8 x 14 inch – Chrome Plated

Description

Looking for a snare that delivers both massive depth and a sharp, metallic bite? The Ludwig Supralite 8″ x 14″ Steel Snare Drum is a powerhouse designed for drummers who need a versatile, “do-it-all” workhorse without the premium price tag. Deep Shell, High Impact At 8 inches deep, this snare provides a naturally low fundamental pitch and a fat, “bottomless” resonance. However, because it’s built with a 1mm polished beaded steel shell, it retains the brilliant, cutting high-end and aggressive “crack” that steel is known for. Whether you’re playing heavy rock, fat backbeat funk, or modern pop, this drum cuts through the loudest stage mixes with ease. Professional Specs, Classic Look The Supralite doesn’t just sound expensive—it looks the part. The mirrored chrome finish is complemented by chrome-over-brass tube lugs, giving it a classic aesthetic while ensuring high-tension tuning stability. P88I Throw-Off: A smooth, reliable strainer that keeps your snare tension consistent throughout the gig. 2.3mm Triple-Flanged Hoops: Provides a wide tuning range and excellent rimshot projection. Brass Snare Wires: Adds a touch of crisp sensitivity for ghost notes and intricate patterns. Why Choose the 8×14 Supralite? While smaller snares can sound thin, the 8-inch depth of the LU0814SL ensures your backbeat has body. It is the perfect upgrade for any drummer looking to move from a standard kit snare to a professional-grade steel drum with more “oomph” and character.
