D’Addario ECG23 XL Chromes Flatwound Electric Guitar Strings – (10-48) Extra Light

Description

Bring velvety warmth and effortless playability to your fretboard with D’Addario ECG23 XL Chromes Flatwound Electric Guitar Strings. As D’Addario’s lightest gauge of flatwound strings, the 10-48 Extra Light set offers the perfect blend of traditional jazz-style warmth and a comfortable, low-tension feel that won’t fatigue your fingers. Unlike standard roundwound strings, D’Addario XL Chromes are constructed using a high-carbon steel hex core wrapped with a specialized stainless steel ribbon wire. The outer wire is then put through a multi-step polishing process to achieve an ultra-smooth, mirror-like finish. The result is a highly tactile string that eliminates unwanted finger squeak and slide noise altogether—making it a premier choice for studio recording, smooth jazz tracking, traditional blues, and retro rockabilly twang. If you love the deeply resonant, rich low-end of traditional flatwounds but prefer the lighter tension and easy bending of a .010 high-E string, the ECG23 set delivers a beautifully damped, tone-rich acoustic signature without sacrificing punch. Key Features Ultra-Smooth Ribbon Winding: Polished stainless steel ribbon wire wrap prevents finger noise and minimizes fret wear while delivering an incredibly slick playing surface. Extra Light Flatwound Gauge: The lightest flatwound tension available from D’Addario, giving you the classic, mellow tone of flats with the bendability of a standard light set. Signature Hex Core Stability: Precision-drawn hexagonal high-carbon steel core ensures exact intonation, stable tuning, and long-lasting string life. Versatile Voicing: While renowned as an industry standard for jazz guitarists, these strings add depth and a rounded, full low-end to hollow-bodies and solid-bodies alike across blues, R&B, and pop/rock genres. USA Made & Freshly Sealed: Manufactured at D’Addario’s New York facility and packed in corrosion-resistant, eco-friendly packaging so your strings arrive pristine.
